Over the course of the past three years A Mic A Mook and A Mic has produced 165 video podcasts. That is more than seven day’s worth of non-stop programming. It is assuredly better than a lot of that stuff you have been binge watching on Netflix or Hulu. Billy, Derrec and I have had to pleasure to speak with people from all walks of lives. The famous, almost famous, never famous, used to be famous and people who are famous in their own minds. If they are good copy, we wanted them. We were fortunate enough to have Hall of Famers such as Rod Carew, Jim Palmer, Artis Gilmore and Dan Issel, to Apollo 15 Commander Col David Scott – who was the first man to drive on the moon, to Pulitzer Prize winners; Mary Macnamara & John Filo, to movie and television stars; John Larroquette, Melissa Rauch, Faith Ford & Tom Arnold, to Olympic Gold Medal Winnings swimmers Donna DeVerona & John Naber amongst the roll call of guests.
Along the way we added a recurring guest, baseball umpire Cowboy Joe West whose record setting 5460 games in blue during his 43 seasons will never be broken. Joe has made our great programming even greater.
Now going into our fourth season we will add a different dimension, controversy. We have always tried to stay middle of the road and not ruffle any feathers. We won’t be stirring up sh*t for the sake or stirring it up, but we we won’t shy away from it either. Especially in this critical election year of 2024. And we won’t be on every week, but we will be on when we have something to say.
Where do, Billy, me & Derrec stand on issues? How do their takes differ from mine. That remains to be seen and will be fun for us to explore. What about the Tom Brady Roast on Netflix? Did you think it was funny or offended? And the campus unrest across the country? Sleepy Don vs Sleepy Joe?
We will continue to have our fascinating guests from all walks of life. You can count on that. Now we will mix in a little extra spice to our recipe as well.
