A Native New Orleans Chef, Eddie Herbert moved to NY where he graduated from the famed Culinary Institute of America. There he got his first taste (pardon the pun) of celebrity where he fed, amongst others, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Andy Warhol.
The Chef stayed in New York where he gained more experience at NY’s famed eateries Romeo Salta’s, La Gauloise, and The Carlyle Hotel, which headlined entertainer Bobby Short.
Chef Eddie was recruited to Los Angeles to become Executive Chef at The Ritz Café, which in turn led to his opening of his own restaurant the Lincoln Bay Cafe.
The Lincoln Bay Cafe became a meeting spot for celebs pining for Chef Eddie’s New Orleans style cooking. Hollywood celebs flocked to Chef Eddie’s joint including Emmy Award Winner Jay Thomas, Howard Morris, William Russ, Mork & Mindy director Howard Storm, and Academy Award Winning writer Diablo Cody. That, in turn, led to Chef Eddie catering for the likes of George Lopez, Steve Harvey, and the Casts of Suddenly Susan, Just Shoot Me, Becker and Girlfriends.
Chef Eddie’s New Orleans food remains in much demand for private and off-site celebrity parties.
