Prolific author Horatio Alger never met Steve Papazian. He is the epitome of an American success story.
A Los Angeles native and graduate of Cal State Northridge, Steve started in the mail room at Warner’s after having served a tour in Viet Nam. For the next nearly 50-years, Steve rose through the ranks to become the President of Physical Production for Warner Bros Worldwide.
Steve worked on some of the studios biggest films during his long stint, which include the Matrix, Hobbit and the Harry Potter series of films; Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-getting films from Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby to American Sniper and Sully; and Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight films.
Papazian most recently oversaw physical production on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Prior to his segway into feature films, Steve was the head of TV production for Warner’s and played a big role in major hits such as: Murphy Brown, Night Court, Growing Pains, Head of The Class, China Beach, and The Duke of Hazard, to name a few.
Steve also gave a young Frank Pace (the Mook) his start in the business, one for which Frank is eternally grateful.
Be sure to join Mick and Mook for this special interview on April 6th.
