There’s something about a ballpark.
Any ballpark.
Anywhere.
Baseball ballparks are mostly outdoors, and if you’re lucky and you are there to witness it…theres a beauty you can see and feel in your surroundings.
It’s in the sunset.
It reaches into your soul.
You don’t get the same wonder in football stadiums or arenas. This is sunset at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, perhaps the game’s most beautiful ballpark.
The glory of a sunset kissing the end of daylight when the sky turns orange and the sunlight is peeking through the clouds, and the clouds themselves offer a collage of light and color.
I am not a religious man, but I feel watching the sunset like this one….makes me feel that there is something bigger than ourselves, and seeing the beauty of sunrise and sunset are like curtains rising and closing a day.
You don’t have to be a baseball fan to sit in awe of this beautiful display.
Someone once wrote that seeing a sunset, any sunset, brings us hope and promise of better days ahead.
I saw this sunset at the ballpark and it reminded me of the simple joy in being alive.
Be grateful.
And joyful.
Watch a sunset at a ballpark.
Or anywhere.
And cherish every one.
