Vincent Bondi grew up on the asphalt streets of the Bronx. He was convicted of stealing a car at the age of 13 and spent the next four years in a juvenile detention center until he “aged out.” He called those the toughest years he ever spent in stir. Vincent later graduated to bookmaking, loan sharking, and maybe just a little “physical persuasiveness.” He spent the next 30 years in and out of prison, including one notable stint in Rikers. “I was like a king in Rikers,” Vincent said. “No one messed with me.” Tiring of the hustle and now approaching 50, Vincent got into the produce business where he made millions of dollars as a “legitimate businessman.” More money than he ever made on the streets. Now semi-retired in Florida, our guess is the world has not heard the last of Vincent Bondi. Join Billy and Frank for what should be a very intriguing podcast on 27 December. ### |
